STUDENT COUNCIL

The OGTech Student Council builds a bridge between the academic staff, the administration and the students. Every two weeks, the Students Council meets to discuss current topics at OGTech. “If the students need something, we bring it up in our meetings,” said Khalid Al Wardi, one of the members of the Council.

Currently the Student Council discusses the canteen, and a number of extracurricular activities such as art activities, sports and social events.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In the past few months the Student Council has participated in extracurricular activities such as the Cancer Awareness Walkathon. “It was indeed refreshing to be with friends and other people, all united for a single cause, spreading awareness of cancer,” said Azmat Arif, one of the OGTech students. In addition, the Student Council organised an evening beach barbecue for OGTech on National Day in November. Currently the Council is planning a visit to Bait Al Baranda Museum in Muscat and regular sport activities such as football matches with other colleges in Muscat.
